Do you run or manage or write for a blog. If so, how important is it in your marketing efforts?

Writing a blog is a useful addition to a marketing system, but it's not essential. I've used mine to collect information that I find interesting, and other people may find useful. I also write posts about aspects of marketing and motivation that interest me. Then there's some categories of posts which are aimed more directly at making money. I see a blog as an extra stream of income, and a way to spread a brand or help people to get to know you. It reaches a slightly different audience compared to being on Facebook or other social networks.

The big advantage to having a Blog is it, totally belongs to YOU.

It's there forever. and you can continually profit and make sales from posts you made years ago.

My blog is the central hub of my entire online business. It allows me to brand myself, build a relationship with my audience, build an email list, get leads for my primary biz, make affiliate sales and so much more.

Everything that I do marketing wise starts on my blog and ends on my blog.

Whenever I make YouTube videos and post them on Facebook, Twitter or some other social network, I always make sure to direct the viewer to visit my blog.

Combine that with the normal search engine traffic that you get over time from your content...

And your blog will become a very powerful marketing weapon over time...

As long as you're putting out great content of course. :)

I love having a blog! It gives you the freedom to write about whatever you like. I get visits to older posts all the time, ones that people really resonate with. It's a great marketing tool that I'd definitely recommend!

I did a lot of blogging in earlier days while using google blogger however, I noticed that over a given period of time some would end up getting deleted and from the google platform so I got disinterested in the practice.
