Do you immediately "join" a program after seeing it. Or do you actively search the web for an active team marketing it.

I research before joining anything.  There are a lot of not quite so honest people out there that are in it only for the money.  However, I also am aware that there are people out there that will write negative things about a company that is not true.  So when I can I also investigate how many negative things about different companies that person has written.

First, I search the web for reviews before joining anything!

My best recommendation before joining a program is to do a little research on the internet, try the following:

name of program + review  and find out what people is saying about that program.

Most of the programs out there require you to pay or invest in something you actually don't know if it will work or not. This applies the same for:

A Money making program, any MLM networks, Any Traffic generation platform, any Internet marketing product

Everyone of us should do a litle research (remember Name of program + review) before joining any program or buying any product and then take a more confident decision.

Ask people in IBOAnswers if anybody knows that program or product. Ask for their opinions.

I hope it helps

This is a good question and hopefully when people see this they know what to do. As for me I research it I make sure the person I sign up under has a great record of being a sponsor I make sure that that person actually has updated proof that he or she is making money and not by pictures but logs into their back office here and there.

That would be a most dangerous move that I would never recommend. Doing a proper research to get some background information about the product or service is always vital before committing to any business online so you can make an informed decision and not a decision based on emotional.

Whitney, good question, but what you're talking about is a much better point.

Many online hopefuls (who have enough experience with getting stuck) 'Do' go looking for a team or system to join. Pictures of commission checks do sell, but time will show, sooner or later, that what the advertiser is earning is meaningless!

What's more important isn't 'How Much' a sponsor earns, it's how can 'You' (the sponsor) help me to do that! I think that's what most advertisers should learn to lead with.  Remember, most prospects are struggling!

The research aspect as Chris mentioned above is a key factor in deciding whether to join a new business or not as well

When I see a program for making money online that looks interesting, the first place I go is Youtube. You will find many videos from people who have bought the program. There will be good ones and bad ones, but you will be better able to decide if it's right for you.

Best wishes,
